Marceline, Halloween

Dear readers,

Did you see? The title, it rhymes! Yaaay! So, what's up with Marceline and Halloween?
Well, as you all might know, it's almost Halloween! For teenagers (I can still legitimately call myself a teenager), this means that Halloween was already celebrated: in the weekend! The party was amazing.

Who did I dress up as, you ask? Well, Marceline of course!
I'm an enormous Adventure Time fan.
In fact, I've been dying to buy this Lumpy Space Princess top.

"Oh My Glob!"

Or what about this skirt?

So, I dressed up as Marceline from Adventure Time.
Want to see the result?

...

Here it comes!

In the evening, I made myself a little bit scarier. Want to see it?

Do you celebrate Halloween? Who would you like to dress up as?
Please leave a comment!

Lots of Love,

Marinda

The Last Living Rose

Dear readers,

You haven't heard from me for a while. This is because I went to university and I went to live on my own. Well, together with my boyfriend actually! It's really lovely and I don't consider the household unbearable. However, the amount of assignments has kept me from doing what I did a lot this summer: blogging!

This lovely rainbowcake was given to us by a lady who said she was closing and she would give it away for half of the price.

So I went to England this summer, dragging my parents and my boyfriend with me! My favourite place was definitely Columbia Road, which, oh, I had been looking forward to for ages!

Look at the blue roses!

The highlights were definitely the flower market, the delicious food and the cute little shops.

A cute little candyshop.

And of course, I dressed up for this special day. I wanted to compete with the amazing style and sphere of that place. I fear it's a battle I've lost.

Top: H&M // Skirt: Newyorker // Bag: Gift // Sunglasses: V&D // Stockings: V&D // Boots: O'Moda

Now it's time for me to talk about you! Where did you go this summer?
Have you ever gone to England? Will you visit Columbia Road next time?

Lots of Love,

Marinda

Summer stop

Dear readers,

The weather has been either too hot or too cold to take decent pictures, so I'm sorry that you haven't heard from me. However, today I tried to do a little baking with my boyfriend and well, here are some pictures!

First, I put all the ingredients in the blender.

I had a little help.

The recipe, by the way, can be found here.

Hmm, it tasted good!

I love all the recipes from chickslovefood.

And these cereal bars look so good on pictures! Better than me, haha!

So, would you like to try this, too?

Perfect picnic

Bonjour Internet,

Preparing for my exams is quite nervewrecking... Fortunately, Wednesday is my last exam!
It's French!

To help myself relax a little, I went for a small picnic in the evening sun.
My outfit? Well, a breezy dress and a summerish hat!
Dress: Cotton On // Hat: New Look // Cord: Primark

I bought the dress three years ago (!) in Singapore.
It's actually made for skinnier girls, but it is so comfy and breezy,
I figured I could handle it with a cord.

I used this hair accesory from Primark as a cord for my dress.
How would you give your dress more shape? Would you use a cord, like me?
Tell me, perhaps I can use your tips in the future!

Lots of Love,

Marinda

Little Miss Sunshine // Shoes for sale

Dear readers,

NOTE: SHOES FOR SALE
SCROLL TO THE END

Yesterday I went to Amsterdam! I was planning on visiting the Game of Thrones exhibition (which is free!), but the queue of two hours scared me off. So I started shopping. I saw all these amazing clothes, but I'm saving up for my holiday in England... We got a bit lost after the shops and then I accidentally ended up at The Wallen... I swore to myself to never visit it. I almost walked into the canals by keeping my eyes shut. Don't worry, I managed to escape!

Enough about Amsterdam, then. I actually wanted to talk to you about the outfit I wore:
Hat: New Look // Rose: Bijoux Brigitte // Dress: Pull and Bear // Bag: Gift from my mom // Shoes: Chicwish

Sorry for the poor quality, my dad confiscated the camera, so I had to make do with the iPad.

I don't think the cord is supposed to be tied at the front, but I really like it this way!

I finally found back this hat, which was stuffed away in some cupboard of my moms!

Last but not least:
These shoes are for sale!
I bought them for 70 euros, but you can bargain with me about the price.

I bought them from Chicwish, but they are about two sizes too large!
This makes it about size 40. I will make sure I have the right size in a few days,
I'll go by a tailorshop, which happens to have the exact sizes.

They are quite comfortable, so I'm going to miss them.
I live in the Netherlands, so it would be a lot cheaper for you if you live in Europe to buy these from me,
rather than import them from America.

The size I ordered was EUR 38.

Sincerely,

Marinda

Summertime

Dear Internet people,

Monday I went out with my mom and had some great mother-daughter time. The sun was shining and we went to an interior store.
Blouse: Mango // Dress: Forever 21 // Shoes: Primark

This suitcase was a bargain! It was about 3 euros in a secondhand store and it has green padding.
It's perfect for a weekend out.

My question for you today is:
How would you cover up a dress? Would you use a denim blouse, like me?

Lots of Love,

Marinda

Out for dinner

Dear world wide web,

Friday I went out for dinner! It was a really cute restaurant and I was a little bit overdressed, but even the waitress complimented me, so that's okay!

Here is the look I'm talking about:
Dress: Pull And Bear // Bag: Store in Antwerp // Shoes: Primark

I'll have to admit, I changed my shoes... Primark shoes are of course a little bit cheap,
so they're not so comfortable. I changed to cute flats, also from Primark, but a lot more comfortable.

My question for you then, is:
How do you dress for going out to eat?
Do you also like to dress up? Show me a picture!

Lots of love,

Marinda

Lookbook

So, okay, I've been on Lookbook for quite a while now. However, now that I have someone who loves to take photographs with me (and considering my wardrobe is currently piling out), I'm more active on Lookbook.

Here is the second style of my more recent Lookbook outfits!

The only disadvantage is that my photographer likes clicking the button continuously. So excuse me for looking a little intimidated by the camera!

I bought the hat in Paris...

I absolutely love it!
The hat has been used before in this look:

So, what do you think of hats? Do you wear them or do you hope they would have stayed with Charlie Chaplin?

Lots of Love,

Marinda

Summer Short

Dear readers,

Saturday I went for a haircut! I wanted it to look a little like this...

And I am pretty okay with the result! Unfortunately, I only went out to take pictures a few days after I went to the hairdresser. The first day, it looked exactly as in the pictures. Also, I had quite a bicycle trip to my "photographer".

So this is me now!

What do you think? Do you like short hair? I think it's such a relief, it dries quicker, I don't have to worry about frizzy hair and dead tips for a while and I feel ready for summer!

Lots of Love,

Marinda

Transparent Tendencies

Dear internet,

Yesterday, after weeks of pondering, I finally decided to purchase this lovely pair of transparent boots from Chicwish. I'm never really fond of buying online, considering that they often ask a huge fee at my door. Fortunately, Costumer Care at Chicwish says it will refund such crimes.

Yep, that's my new love. Of course, trends tend to spread fast, so I have a few more examples for you.

Fabulous Flats - www.chicwish.com

What do you think? Would you like to combine these shoes with different socks every day?

Lots of love, Marinda
